Title: Ugly Love
Author: Colleen Hoover
Publisher: Atria Books
Release Date: August 5, 2014
Pages: 324
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

My Thoughts
Tate moves in with her older brother but the day she does, an interesting event occurs. The first time she sees Miles, she doesn't like him. But the thing is, he's good friends with her brother so she can't do anything about it.
God gives us the ugliness so we don’t take the beautiful things in life for granted.
But there's something between them that both won't admit to. Miles has two simple rules for Tate: don't ask about his past and don't expect to have a future with him. But as time goes on, neither of them seem to be able to follow these simple rules
Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.
Star Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5)
It's not my favorite book by the author but still so well done. Colleen Hoover's books are written in a way that's so captivating and addicting; I just couldn't put it down.
Miles is broken, so broken. And he keeps to himself. But he tries so hard for Tate and I love that. I felt what he was feeling and it broke my heart, but I wanted him and Tate to be happy.
